Leslie (Levi) Martin

Hear/d has given me the opportunity to explore my mental health and trauma in a safe environment surrounded by fellow artists. This experience has provided me the tools and support I needed to push me creatively to delve deeper into these topics in ways I have not done so before. Working with other artists who have shared their own personal experiences with mental health has really shown me the resiliency and strength one can find in art. This residency has also given me invaluable resources and opportunities to start my professional career and art practice. This has been an amazing opportunity and will be something I hold close when further exploring trauma in my future work.
