It’s amazing to me how well this residency embodies what it sets out to do. Through my time working with my peers, I have been empowered to speak openly about my art practice, about my grief, and about my mental health. I am so grateful to Jamie, Emily, and Rocio for their vulnerability with us residents. Collectively, we managed to create space for all of us to come as we were each week and share openly and honestly. The work that was made for this year’s residency is inspiring, and I am inspired to have worked alongside such talented artists. I can’t wait to apply again.
